Training Philosophy
BEAT has a reputation for good training in the past, a philosophy for training in the present, and a vision for training in the future.
BEAT believes that training need not be dull, long and confined to antiquated training methodologies. BEAT is dedicated to providing positive, focused training to people within the BARKLY area. We see training as a vital part of our community, and believe that if we all need to participate in it, then we should all enjoy it.
-
We have designed courses of differing durations – from only a couple of hours to several days, and we are flexible in this time allocation, so that we may fit into our clients’ lives.
-
We have designed courses to be held at different locations – your workplace or ours, or other suitable venues.
-
And we have designed courses to be enjoyable; a break here, a joke there.
Our aim is to get Barkly trained up – in all areas – and to have everyone enjoy the process.
We also feel that we have a responsibility to see that the training we provide is worthwhile. We recognise that there are people in our community who have been trained in skills they really don’t need or use. To us, this indicates that training has been implemented simply for the sake of implementing training – and we don’t believe in this.
We take on aspirants rather than training participants. We liaise with our aspirants regularly – their hopes become our goals. We recommend training to suit individuals, and training which will help in achieving goals. Then, after qualifications are achieved, we create a pathway for the aspirant which will lead them to their career goal – be it a job, a promotion, a new occupation – and we help them to walk that path.
At BEAT, we see ourselves as assistant goal-getters – we help you get to your goals. And you’ll enjoy the ride
